Before hemorrhoid surgical treatments became popular, people suffering from serious hemorrhoid problems usually opted for hemorrhoid stapling. This method first came about in the early 1990s, but it didn’t last as a popular hemorrhoid swelling treatment because it resulted in quite a number of long term risks.
Back then, patients chose stapling over surgery because it was said to be less painful than the surgical removal of the bleeding hemorrhoid. However, after a few years of this non-surgical treatment, patients have gone back to their surgeons complaining about other developed complications.
This is the reason why medical experts today prefer surgical removal for hemorrhoids instead of hemorrhoid stapling
